Boston Strangler Rally 2007

Top level Scooter Related News

The Boston Stranglers are happy to invite our scootering pals to the wilds of Saugus Mass for our yearly rally. This years rally will be held at Camp Nihan from Friday June 15th - Sunday June 17th. If you've been before, you know what to expect. If not, rest up your liver, make sure your scoot is running strong, shave your nether regions, and prepare for an awesome weekend.

Beginning at 4pm on Friday June 15th, scooterists from all over the world will begin arriving at Camp Nihan in Saugus, Mass (about a half hour scoot north of Boston). There will be visiting, rejoicing, DJs, a roaring fire, and undoubtably a scooter run for food and soda pop. There are several group cabins available for those who don't get along with nature. If a cabin isn't private enough for you, just do as Jon Rhodes does: pitch your tent early, so you can pass out late.

Wake up Saturday morning to a free breakfast of bagels, donuts, coffee and OJ, then prepare for a ride up the North Shore stopping at beaches, quaint villages, scenic overlooks, and more. There is a rumour that some beaches even have establishments that serve alcohol. A map will be made available shortly (and inserted in your rally pack). 50cc bikes can make the trek but please, no newbies. If you aren't used to riding in a pack, please, stick around the site, take a swim, toss some horseshoes, climb a secluded peak and get high on nature.

We'll all return to the campsite after the ride to recooperate and relubricate. If you're brave, dive into the campground's private pond. Cold water will wake you right up, and you'll need to have all your wits about you to survive this years gymkana and win the nifty prize.

Saturday evening enjoy a free barbecue dinner (vegetarian options will be available) before we retire to the club house for DJs, dancing, a huge raffle, and awards for Furthest Ridden, Best Lammy, Best Vespa, Best Modern, Best Custom, Best Rat, and, infamously, Best Rack/Box.

Sunday morning they'll be more donuts and the like, but then it's farewell to your scooter pals and Saugus.

Registration for the rally is only $20/person which covers your campsite/cabin for both nights, your on-site meals, an embroidered patch, a raffle ticket, and assorted swag. Extra raffle tickets, and t-shirts may be available as well. If you have questions about bringing your kids, your dogs, or your 40' mobile home, please get in touch and we'll see what we can do to steer you in the right direction.
