Three riders from Cobra Powersports begin their 10-day journey across the US on TBG Delivery scooters to prove that they are dependable and get great gas mileage.

October 29, 2004 - With gas prices sky rocketing, scooters are becoming more and more popular. As the US Distributor for TGB brand scooters, Cobra Powersports is going to show American's that scooters can be trusted for every day transportation by riding 3 of the TGB Delivery scooters from New York to Los Angeles beginning November 3, 2004. We will cover 12 states in about 10-days. This is going to be a big adventure!

Pictures of each day's adventure will be posted on www.cobrasales.com so check back starting November 3rd. We plan on stopping by Powersports dealers along the route and taking the employees and customers free pizza. We will have free T-shirts for people we run into along the route, so feel free to try and meet us long the route!

The TGB Delivery is a purpose built commercial scooter made for delivering everything from pizza to mail. Two engines are offered, 49cc and 150cc, with the 150cc averaging over 80 MPG while going 60 MPH. In August 2004, Cobra Powersports displayed the TGB Delivery scooter at the Pizza Industry Show in Chicago and a local CBS news station did an interview with one of our sales guys. The story was picked up by 83 affiliates and several Spanish stations. The scooter is a hit with the pizza industry!

TGB (Taiwan Golden Bee) started manufacturing scooters in Taiwan in 1978 under a licensing agreement with Piaggio (Vespa). They manufactured OEM Vespa's for the Asian markets. They are a large scooter parts manufacturer with over 60% market share of CVT transmissions in Europe. Vespa is Italian for wasp (golden bee), hence the name Taiwan Golden Bee (TGB).
