blinker noises

hello everyone. I just got a new bajaj chetak scooter and am loving it. The only thing i don't like is that when you turn the blinker on it makes a horrid beeping sound; the same noise a big truck makes when it goes in reverse. Is there a wire I can unhook to make it stop? I understand that it is there for safety but it's embarrassing to the point where I don't use even the blinker, which is a whole new game of unsafe.
