Installing a car stereo to a scooter

Hi, this might sound like a stupid question but I wont know just how stupid it is until someone says if its possible or NOT. I just want to know if any one knows if its possible to fit a car stereo to a scooter. My idea was building some sort of 'dash' onto the floor bit, and then fitting the stereo into the 'dash' and wiring it up the the battery. What do you think. my email is charlie1dogbreth@hotmail.com
