I recently made my 2003 Derbi GPR from stok to allmost fully triked up 70. I wanted more power since used to Race profecionally with a 89 Suzuki 750 slingshot. I bought a 2003 Honda CR250-RR 2-stroke engine with a lightweight racing wiseco piston, and a 38.5mm or a 39.5mm(not shure witch one) flatside Kiehn carburator. It had a 5 speed transmission,it ihas a costom 520 size 40 tooth rear sproket for the rim. Also a High tension O-ring chain. It is currently doing easily 120+ without making the engine scream. It has a PowerValve giving it power from the bottom. It feels like a 4strke engine. The pipe is a CR250 gold series Fatty made to the frame of the bike and an FMF Shorty Exhaust giving it better take off. It will go up on one wheel on all 5 gears if kept on the powerband.. I am selling it bacause I dont have the time to finish the bike. It is aproximately 95% complete to making it street legal if wanting to ride at night. The bike is registered as a stock GPR needing only a Drivers liscence to operate the bike. I do not know what the top end on it is. But I made my friends CBR600 F2 look like a scooter. I kept up with my cousins stock CBR 929, but i got scared of the speed with a verry light weight bike. This would make a kick ass track bike, and dont recomend it for a starters bike. It is a push start and has a lot of compression. It starts fine after though. I weigh aproximately 145lbs. The bike is currently wired to the battery but it has lights attached. And Honda sells the light coil kit to run lights.
If you are interested in the bike please e-mail me at Mobie_1@Bellsouth.net or you can call me at 786-312-4296 for furthe question. asking price$2,500.00 Negotiable.
