Bought 2 scooters for my wife and I to ride. 98 yamaha razz and 2000 honda elite. 2000 elite was bought for $1100 from original owner with 2350 miles on 9/11/2005. 98 yamaha razz cost $900 from older gentleman with 460 miles on it on 9/18/05. Both run great and look great. I've put about 180 miles on each since purchased. These are 50cc scooters. Razz will do 34 mph top end. Elite will do 24 mph. Elite is much more comfortable and has storage compartments, Razz has none. Razz seat is made for young butts. I put a big folded towel on top of seat for comfort. Razz has great pickup where as Elite is slow as molasses from a start. Elite has very smooth throttle response, Razz is touchier. Razz has manual choke, Elite has an automatic choke. We bought these just to drive around town for fun. Live in Minnesota so will be storing them away for winter soon. I know I paid top dollar for these two but I am confident they will be reliable. The Razz is absolutely like new. IF the Honda went as fast as the Yamaha there is no question in my opinion that the Elite is the better one to get. Feels much more stable, substantial and comfortable.
