I know what doesn't work. Taking a small brush and touching up the area leaves globs of paint. I suggest cleaning the area with paint thinner and then wiping several small coats of paint on the bare spots. Allow time to dry between coats.

When you are done, put about 200 coats of wax on it. As long as you don't leave an uneven surface, you are the only one who will notice.

Of course, you are the only one who's really looking and you are the one who cares.
