Hello all,
A follow up to the situation:
GS called and kindly offered to help out with the situation. We ended up buying the Retro LX, which we have managed to put 30 miles on so far (it came two days ago). This one has the CVT and looks really nice! It also is quite fast/powerful! It is great and performs better than our old twist 'n go (and is far more affordable)!!!
Props to Dwight and all the other great people at GS Motorworks.
