GP1 Wheelies? Really?

I just got a 2003 GP!, (1000 kilometers on it)and after reading some of the posts here on this site from riders bragging about the performance of their scoots, I'm kind of dissapointed with the performance of mine. It is derestricted, but otherwise stock. (no aftermarket parts) On flat ground, it goes about 45 mph. I can get 50, but that is way pushing it. It takes about 20 25 seconds to get to 40 as well. motor seems to rev freely, with no noticible flat spots, up to top speed, but not very fast getting there. I have a tach and it says it revs to about 80008200 rpms when I open throttle max from a stop and hold it open until I get to cruising speed.

My question is: Does this sound like it is running OK? Maybe I was expecting more out of the little 50cc motor, but I saw a post here that said his gp1 is capable of a wheelie off the line and went 65 mph after installing a big bore cyl, carb and pipe. If this is so, Is there anyone who has a GP1 that can tell me exactly what parts (brand and model)they have on their scoot and what kind of performance they are getting from it. I would then be armed with the proper knowledge to go out and buy exactly what I need to acheive the level of perf I am looking for.

Thanks!
