Last year I bought a Vento Phantom r4i and had a great time riding it. I'm 6'2" 400 lbs. I rode it from Providence to Westerly to the beaches. It took the ride quiet well. The only problem I had is when one of the fuel lines cracked and I had to wait a few weeks for the part to be ordered and installed. Eventually I had my Sooter stolen even with the alarm on. If you unscrew the battery panel and disconnect the battery the alarm won't sound. So if you have one don't trust it completely.
This year I want to buy another cheap scooter that is similar to the Vento called the YMOTO Vortec. It looks like a Vento r4i and has the same extras the only difference is that it is one third the price. They claim it has a Yahmaha 150 cc motor. I hope to order it when the new shipment comes in, in 30 days. Has anyone heard of or purchased a Vortec yet?
