Earlier models were carbureted, newer models are fuel injected. The bikes are fast when modified, and the hadling is outstanding. They race these bikes in Europe. There are a lot of aftermarket performance parts, but you will pay a premium for these European parts. Check out Polini, Malossi, Airsal, and Metrakit. Do a web search for Aprilia SR50 and you will find tons of info.
