There are two things that you need to do on most Kymco Super 9's. One is get into your batery compartment and find the CDI box. On it you will see a green wire come out of the box and go back in that has an inline connector on it. You need to open this connector. Next you need to find the bushing that should have been included with your purchase. If not contact your dealer and have him get you the derestricted bushing. Its the one without a shoulder on it.

To replace the bushing you will need to open up the variator, The case on the left hand side of the bike. The same proceedure is used on many of the Kymco models. You should take a look at the diagrams that are available at the following Web sites:
