derbi atlantis engine swap

Hello all. Have 2002 atlantis with derbi not piaggio motor. Crackheads dumped this into intercoastal after they couldn't hot wire it. Has less than 1000 mi. but needs rebuild. Derbi parts are a nightmare and don't appear to be getting anybetter. What do I have to modify on my scoot to accomidate a piaggio motor like later models (2003 and up.) I deplore the thought of spending $500 plus for stage 2 derbi upgrades (if I can find them) vs buying piaggio oem & aftermarket parts. P.S> anyone on the slopes in N. Conway yet. The only skiing here in florida is over the heads of snakes and gators.
