First of all, Hi.
I'm danish, and here in Denmark, there aren't many Derbi scooters running around the streets, it's more aprilia (sonic), honda (sfx) and yamaha (jog, mostly fine selection).
So I don't know a lot about Derbi scoots, but I fell in love with the Derbi Bullet 2004, it seemed very cool.
So, is this a good scoot? I'm not very big, so the small size fits me rather good.
In Denmark the scoots are limited to 30km/h (about 20mp/h), if you're under 18 and without a drivers license. Of course the mechanics won't limit it if you just ask nicely, it's just easier for them to put the scoot together then, but then it's like an ordinary scoot like you guys know. Now what?
My old sonic ran about 60-70 mp/h (120km/h), but that was a minerally motor, the derbi uses a piaggo (which I like, but havn't messed with it before at all). Is it just like an ordinary piaggio like on the Piaggio NRG or Gillera Stalker? Does the same parts work on the derbi bullet as well?
And what parts would you recommend, to get maximum out of your scoot, without having to use a bended exhaust pipe (they attract way too much police attention here in DK)?
Regards,
René Jacobsen
