Indian Larry was killed performing a stunt at Cabarrus Arena in Concord, NC. I can't believe it. Only a few months ago I was riding side-by-side with him on our way into Laconia for Bike week.

Indian Larry (1949 - 2004)
Larry was on his way into Laconia to do a special appearance at the "Broken Spoke Saloon". He was riding his now famous Big Daddy Roth Bike that he built for the Great Biker Build-off.

I followed Larry into the booth where he was greeted by anxious fans as well as his pregnant wife (at least I think it was his wife...). I feel bad knowing that his child will grow-up never having gotten the chance to know his/her own father. My deepest sympathies go out to Larry's family.

Indian Larry lived life to it's fullest and I guess this quote from Larry himself says it best:

"And if I'm called away and it's my turn to go,
Should the blood run cold in my veins,
Just one favor I'll be asking you,
Don't bury me here it's too cold,
Take me back,
Carry me back,
Down to Gasoline Alley where I started from"
--Indian Larry
