Death of Boston Scooterist

Top level Scooter Related News

Billy Toth, a scooterist from the boston area died unexpectedly on Monday July 11th, and his friends and family need your help.

Posted from scooterbbs.com

"As some of you may have heard, our good friend and club member Billy Toth died unexpectedly on Monday July 11th. An autopsy is currently being done to help us understand the cause of his death.

Billy was a good friend, and in the short time that he spent with us, he left a huge impression. His family, a loyal group of friends and his girlfriend, Erin, will miss him.

Although Billy had recently begun a new career, he had little money saved. We are working with Billy's family to raise money for a proper funeral. Over the next few days, we ask for the scooter community's help by donating money to help cover these expenses. We have set up a Paypal account for scooterists who are able to make donations. Donations will be kept confidential, and will be greatly appreciated. The need is immediate, so please go to this link to make a donation:

Alternatively anyone in the Boston area can contribute by going to O'Briens Pub [map] in Allston, MA tomorrow night (Wednesday July 13th). There will be a benefit table for donations, and proceeds from the door will be donated for Billy's funeral expenses.

Finalized funeral arrangements will be posted on the Stranglers' website when they are known. Thank you for all your help, donations and prayers for our good friend Billy Toth."

UPDATE:
Billy's funeral will be held THIS Friday - July, 15, 2005 at 11am.

The wake and viewing will be at The Paul C. Rogers & Sons Funeral Home at 11am @ 334 Main St., Haverhill, MA 01830. The phone # at the funeral home is (978)373-3281 [ map ].

The procession will leave from Haverhill and continue on to the town of Boxford where the burial will take place at The Mount Vernon Cemetery (immediately following the viewing).

Rather than flowers, the family has asked that guests/friends/etc. donate money to either Billy's Funeral Fund or to a local drug prevention program. I hope everyone will be there to give Billy the send off he deserves.
