Since the early 90s The Boston Stranglers have held a yearly rally to celebrate the majesty of the vintage motorscooter and the debauchery that those vehicles enable. After a trip into the city in 2004, The Boston Stranglers have decided to return to a camping rally this year. The Stranglers hold their 2005 rally June 17-19 in Ashby, MA. To celebrate our new home, the rally has been christened the The Boston Stranglers' Tits 'n' Ashby Rally.
Here's what you can expect:
Scooterists from all over the world will begin arriving at The Pines Campground the evening of Friday June 17th. There will be visiting, rejoicing, alcohol, DJs, a roaring fire, and undoubtably a scooter run for food and more beer. Pitch your tent early, so you can pass out late.
Wake up Saturday morning to a free breakfast of bagels, donuts, coffee and OJ, then prepare for a 46-mile ride through the scenic hills of New Hampshire and Massachusetts. Bikes of all sizes are welcome. At the half way point we've reserved a private room in Irish Bar just in case you worked up a hunger or thirst on the ride. After our stop we'll finish our ride and return to the campground for maxxing, relaxing, swimming. Click here for a map of our Saturday ride route.
Saturday evening enjoy a free barbecue dinner (vegetarian options will be available) before we retire to the club house for DJs, dancing, a huge raffle, and awards for Furthest Ridden, Best Lammy, Best Vespa, Best Modern, Best Custom, Best Rat, and, infamously, Best Rack/Box.
Sunday morning join us on a breakfast run if you wish, pack up that tent, and then bid your farewells to scooter pals and Ashby.
Registration for the rally is $25/person which covers your campsite for both nights, your on-site meals, an embroidered patch, a raffle ticket, and assorted swag. Extra raffle tickets, and t-shirts may be available as well. If you have questions about bringing your kids, your dogs, or your 40' mobile home, please get in touch and we'll see what we can do to steer you in the right direction.
