Keeping with its sex and rock n’ roll image, Malaguti USA is collaborating with Levi’s Strauss and Company on its most recent project. Malaguti and Levi’s have created a customized scooter to help promote the release of Levi’s® Type 1™ Jeans.

Malaguti USA Creative Director, Victoria Gonzalez commented, “It wasn’t our intention to just slap logos on a scooter, but rather recreate a pair of Type 1 Jeans through a Yesterday. The results are amazing.”

Launching in spring 2003, Levi’s® Type 1™ Jeans for men, women and kids capture the essence and authenticity of the Levi’s brand. Inspired by Levi’s brand heritage, this new line features a bold, modern, interpretation of Levi’s signature design details. Malaguti has taken these details and incorporated them into their best selling scooter, the retro-styled Yesterday. The iconic details include oversized rivets, a bold two-horse back patch and back-pocket red tab, a powerfully dramatic arcuate (the signature stitching on the back pockets), and accentuated stitching.

The Malaguti scooter is currently being displayed in Levi’s New York showroom during Spring magazine editor presentations. There is a strong possibility of extending the project to include the display of a Levi’s customized Malaguti Yesterday in each of 17 exclusive Levi’s retail stores.
