Wolfenstein 5K and other small diversions

While browsing slashdot this weekend I came across this website and thought it might help kill the winter blues.

How much is 5K? "A relative thimbleful of Web coding" writes the New York Times. Many modern computer games consume hundreds of megabytes, a relative dumpsterful of coding.

Wolfenstein 5K was written for the 5K contest, which challenges entrants to create a web page in under 5120 bytes. According to its creators, "The idea behind the contest is that the rigid constraints of designing for the web are what force us to get truly creative."

The Game Never Ending
A massively multiplayer game

The interesting thing about this game is that there is no software to install and it's not platform dependant. All you need is a web-browser.

This game is currently under development and they say they will be openning it up to beta test in the spring. Sounds like a game that could suck up alot of time... too bad we can't play till spring.
